Raphael Kadid Studio is a Basel based multidisciplinary design practice evolving in the fields of architecture, product design, photography and edition. From the abstraction of a photograph of stacked objects to a constructive system, a search for elementary coherence is carried through the different scales of the project, beyond the pragmatisms of construction. While the approach of each project is specific—from the observation of the context to the transcription of the program—the works are linked following a continuous experiment on structure and composition. Gathering visual references, as well as producing images, through the medium of photography and collage, are a constant part of the design process: To draw and communicate ideas of space, atmosphere and identity.
